Moving to New York
Except not really. A+ to the Wombats.
However, I am thinking of moving this to Livejournal or something. I’m not sure. I don’t have many friends on here, and it’s just weird. Whatever.
My last 2-3 days have been awesome. Friday was the last day of school, so Jacquelyn, Kaytlin, Ellen, and I went out to Hunan’s for sushi. It’s so fresh and good there, and it amazes...
i got the style.
Finals today were not too bad. Sociology was super easy. I felt really confident in it, and I barely had to use my notes. It was one of those tests where they ask the same question worded differently about twenty times. A lot of it was about groups and political shit, so it wasn’t too hard. Algebra was…okay. I probably failed it. There were some that I knew for sure, but others that I...
I met her at a backyard block party by the bar.
I finished reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer today. I still think that it resembles a fan fiction written by a sixteen year old, but I found myself getting sucked into it. Mainly because Edward is basically the epitome of a perfect boyfriend. Minus the vampire part. Now I’m reading Diary by Chuck Palahniuk, and now I only have two or three more books of his to read. Which I don’t...

weekend.
I bought two books today, and I’m excited to start reading them Candy Girl by Diablo Cody, and I got the first book to the Twilight series or whatever, so that should be interesting. Even though the woman working there asked if I really wanted to get the book about Diablo Cody since it’s about when she was a stripper. Whatever, haha. I love her, and she wrote one of the best movies, so...

I am so in the mood for this poetry slam, you have no idea. We’ve got 12+ performers, a few more prices, food donations, the most kick ass space in all of this city, and possibly a musical performer or two. I’ve downloaded some Saul Williams albums and it’s helping me write my own poem for the slam. Which I’m kind of nervous for. I’ll probably back out, I have no...
new things.
I’ve been getting headaches a lot lately, it’s super weird. I’ve also been saying the word ‘super’ as a modifier a lot, too. That is also super weird. Kaytlin and I went to look for bugs for her Advanced Bio class. We didn’t find much, but we did have a run-in with a porcupine. Good times. I’ve been reading a lot lately. I think that everytime I finish a...
Happy Mother's Day!
Today is the day we celebrate our mommy’s. Unfortunately, mine has to work so we didn’t get to make her breakfast, nor do we get to spend all day watching movies and being lazy with her. I feel bad because I didn’t get her anything, but I’m going to make her a card that looks like something I would’ve made when I was four or something. Just to be kind of cute.
Slammin' pt. 2
After much rearranging of the date, we finally scheduled our poetry slam on Thursday May 29th at Art in the Loft at 6:30. Friday didn’t work because it was the senior lock-in, and when we rescheduled it to Tuesday, that didn’t work either because the venue had a boardmeeting. So now we are definitely set for Thursday. I have been advertising my ass off. I already know of quite a few...
blah.
I was supposed to go to Ann Arbor this weekend. But due to conflicts between me and the parentals, I am no able to anymore. Bummer.
Stripper-rama
Me: So Diego, your girlfriend is working a pole right now.
Diego: Yeah, okay.
Me: Do you think I'm kidding?!
Diego: Haha, yes.
Me: ..I swear this time I'm not.
rub it in circular motions.
Today we had to test rubber breasts and testicles for cancer. It was one of the funniest things I have ever had to do. I cried from laughing so hard. 17 going on 5…. I’m excited for this weekend. Major hangs with Kaytrin, because I haven’t in weeks and I miss her lots. Also with Ellen and her peruvian lover Diego. And we’re going to see Tyler in the spring musical at...

What the hell, I'm bored.
5 Things found in my bag: ipod, The Sea of Trees by Yannick Murphy, orange flavored G2, Columbia College information packet, and a picture of a penis that Kayla and I drew today in health. 5 Favorite Things in my room: my bed, my box of letters, my stacks of magazines, bass guitar (even though I don’t play it, it looks cool sitting there), money fishbowl 5 Things I’ve always wanted to do:...
Christianity.
Mr. Tippman: This religion considers Jesus as the Messiah.
Keegan: Which one is that?
Mitchell, quit manhandling the bread!

Recently, my friend Megan and I have become very attracted to spoken-word/performance poetry. We suggested the idea of having our own poetry slam to our AP Lang teacher (who is also the forensics coach at our school) and he’s really down for the idea. Yesterday, we spent most of our fifth hour brainstorming ideas. Picking a day, suggesting possible venues, figuring out the rules…etc....
I’m kind of bummed that we can’t ask yes or no questions because I...
– Claire in Algebra class. We had to question the masses, and unfortunately she could not ask if they liked joutfits (jean outfits)
Information needed
I am desperate to go to this High School Summer Institute Program in Chicago at Columbia College. It’s five weeks and it has the kind of classes I want to take and oh my God, FIVE WEEKS in my favorite city ever. Too bad it is over $3,000 for three classes and living arrangements. Does anyone know if there is a financial aid program for that kind of thing? Please e-mail me or message me on...

Home sick from school today for the first time all year. Bummer. This also means my plans for tonight and tomorrow are cancelled. Double bummer.
we're convinced our english teacher smokes weed.
Chelsea: Come on, Mr. Cook, have you ever smoked weed?
Mr. Cook: No.
Chelsea: I don't even care if you inhaled it or not, I just want to know.

Grammar police.
Mr. Tippman: Usually, medical doctors tend to marry medical doctors.
Keegan: Isn't that a bit redundant?
Me: I'm going to marry a legal lawyer.

Sunday morning, Ellen, Kaytlin, my mom, my sister, and I drove down to Ann Arbor to see Mason Proper with The Forms, and Cloud Cult. Ellen ended up meeting her Peruvian lover, and upon first meeting him, I don’t think there is anything wrong with him. Definitely not a creeper at all. I think. We went to the bar at 8:00, and waited around for about 45 minutes. Saw some other people from...
boys.
Me: Yesterday, Carly and I had a pizza sub, and it was so good that we're getting another one today.
Keegan: Weiner sub you shared with Carly? What?
Me: PIZZA SUB.
Keegan: Penis sub? Grosss.
Some random numbers.
55 is the degree fahrenheit that it was today. 2 C’s I am expecting on my report card. 8 days until my birthday. 6 days until the Mason Proper concert. 22 is the score I got on my ACT (definitely retaking)
I talk outloud like you're still around.
This good weather has in turn put me in a good mood. I haven’t seen 65 degrees, sunshine, and blue skies together in a long time. I drive home with the windows rolled down and blare Coconut Records or Rogue Wave. The stuff that makes me think of summer. I’ve become obsessed with the idea of June 6 (last day of school) and all the things this summer can have in store for me. Last night...

Today at school was kind of awful. I miss Thomas already. I failed that Algebra quiz (currently studying for the retake tomorrow), and I’ve got a bunch of work to finish and hand in by tomorrow. The end of the marking period. Thank God. I started this one of strong, but slowly went a little down hill. Hopefully in the last marking period, I’ll be able to do better. Keegan made me laugh...

The German’s leave tonight at 3 in the morning (tomorrow at three in the morning?) I’m pretty bummed. Mainly about Thomas leaving, because he was a sweet guy and I spent a good amount of time with him. Hugged Tami good bye today after school. Serious bummer. I had a doctor’s appointment to figure out why my jaw gets swollen every other time I eat. Turns out it’s something...
a billion bees.
Today some random kid started talking to me in the hallway. I have no idea who he was, but it makes me feel better that some people aren’t afraid to initiate conversation when I never can. He asked me what grade I was in. And why I missed two months of school last year. He didn’t tell me why he missed five. I went to the gym for the first time in three weeks today. I felt like I was...
mm, dairy queen and puking kaytlin.
Me: I just decided that I could eat this all day long.
Kaytlin: Oh yeah?
Me: Do you like cherries?
Kaytlin: Yeah.
Me: Try a bite.
Kaytlin: I don't want to get you sick..
Me: Make me puke, I don't care, try it.

School today was actually kind of decent. It went by fairly quickly. I was also excited to hear that we’re not going to have a test before the end of the marking period, so my grade should remain the best it ever has. My english teacher was also surprisingly in a good mood. Nice. I don’t mind when people make out with people. But when you’re two feet away from me, have some...
yum, body modifications.
Me: And then I was going to watch some video of a guy getting his tongue split on youtube, but the video was gone.
Keegan: Oh God, don't even watch that.
Me: What do they do?
Keegan: Basically, the person licks a scalpel and they cauterize it.
Me: ..ew..
Keegan: Yeah, I watched it once. I almost threw up. And then I watched it again.
Grown kids talking pokemon.
Ellen: I don't know, I didn't catch that many pokemon. I only had like, twenty and went through the game.
Caleb: Didn't catch that many pokemon?! You've gotta catch them all, Ellen! That's the whole point.
