Happy Mother's Day!
Today is the day we celebrate our mommy’s. Unfortunately, mine has to work so we didn’t get to make her breakfast, nor do we get to spend all day watching movies and being lazy with her. I feel bad because I didn’t get her anything, but I’m going to make her a card that looks like something I would’ve made when I was four or something. Just to be kind of cute.

Recently, my friend Megan and I have become very attracted to spoken-word/performance poetry. We suggested the idea of having our own poetry slam to our AP Lang teacher (who is also the forensics coach at our school) and he’s really down for the idea.
